I went in and we had a short consultation, she said something about sexy bed head, I agreed. Sometime into the hair appointment I realized she was chopping bangs back into my hair. I've been missing my bangs so I was ok with this but now, it just doesn't look like my hair. Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow adjusted... hopefully, tomorrow is the day of my High School graduation!

split ends
I was in need of an emergency hair cut today. I had let my curls get too long and out of control. I meant to get a haircut about a week ago but I missed my appointment but never rescheduled. Then the humidity began and my already thick hair became curlier and frizzier. Then I realized "There is only one day until graduation!" I wasn't able to get in with my usual hairdresser with this timing so I made an appointment at a salon I used to go to, asking only "Is there anyone good with curls available?"

Carrot Top
I've always loved red hair. For as long as I could remember my mom has been a faux ginger, out of all my barbies my favorite two had red and auburn hair, and my first kiss was even delivered by a Ron Weasley-esque boy. Now that I'm heading off to college and to a new beginning I long to change my hair drastically. I also plan to get bangs cut back into my hair. Change causes more change causes more change.
My hair inspirations:
(l) color, (r) cut
I don't know exactly what the color or cut will be but I want a change. Let me know what you think about the color/cut. 'd love a detached opinion!
oh btw here's my face
left: winter, when I had bangs; right: a week ago or something?

Control Freak
So, I'm incredibly stressed out. I have been for a while. Luckily, Prom is Friday, and once that is over much of my stress will be alleviated.

Until then I will be obsessing over my hair and makeup.
Scarlet Johanson is too beautiful - but the orange eyeshadow?
Considering my vintage dress I thought a modified bee hive (as seen on ScarJo above) would be the ideal choice. Hopefully my hairdresser will have her own suggestions. I'm so lucky to have someone I trust to do my hair, she's been dong my hair ever since I was in middle school.
I'm going to MAC to get my makeup done. I had my makeup done at MAC last year before prom and it was amazing! While I know they'll do a fabulous job and be able to get my skin looking flawless and my cheeks rosy and beautiful it's hard for me to give up all that control to someone I don't know. In the end I know it will be worth it.
All of the stress of prom will be worth it...

So Mod
Friday was a total british invasion day for me. First, To Sir with Love was on TV which is one of my favorite movies. I love the way all the girls dress, with the teased hair and the mini skirts. It's straight out of the '60's! Then I watched Skins, another guilty pleasure. For any american who doesn't watch it, well, I pity you. I once was among you, before I spent hours watching pirated episodes online. It's an amazing british drama, with great clothes, a great soundtrack, and yeah, plenty of drama.

Oh, also, I got a haircut. I like it ok... its kinda of awkward because i'm trying to faze out my bangs for the summer. I prefer my hair curly anyway.
All of this inspired me to put together this mod outfit together Sunday when I met some friends in Philly for Dim Sum. I really like Dim Sum. I like the little carts. I like the little trays. I like the lazy suzy in the middle of the table. I also like the bakeries in china town where you can buy sweet buns for 60¢
