Remember Los Alamos

Today was lovely. Me and my mom drove to a nearby pueblo and did a hike around this are where they had all these prehistoric native american caves. You could even climb up latters into some of the caves! The cliffs were so beautiful and it was very nice out, if only a little cold.

Then me and my mom drove to Los Alamos, famous for the manhattan project and atomic bomb (all morning I thought we were going to the Alamos in Texas, well, I didn't know it was in Texas, but you get the idea). While there went to sonic! I've never been, since they don't have them in PA, but it was so amazing! They bring the food right to your car! I got a Oreo Sonic blast - yum! We also went to a museum about the Manhattan Project. It was nice a nice, small science museum, filled with some history as well as a few games and what not, but I don't think it gave a very comprehensive history of the atom bomb. It was definitely much more geared towards kids.

  3. I was never a huge fan of hamburgers, but Sonic isn't that bad when it comes to food [though I've never had one of their burgers].

  8. I'm glad you're updating because it brings back memories for me! I swear there are more Sonics in the state of NM than I've ever seen in my whole life. Oh yeah, and I didn't do much shopping there. Actually I had better luck in Taos, which I wouldn't have guessed.

  14. Ooh pretty! Actually if you want to read about the Manhattan Project, or just want to read a genius autobiography in general, read "Surely you're joking, Mr Feynman!"
He's a physicist and absolutely hilarious, and there's a couple of rather tongue-in-cheek chapters about his experience with the Manhattan Project, and it's SO FUNNY that you will have people staring at you wondering why you're laughing. >__>
